Place Holder Jenifer Ringer began her classical ballet training with Ms. Shields at the age of ten. Jenny attended class daily and by the age of thirteen, she was already turning into a swan. Her family moved to Washington D.C. where she continued her studies at the Washington Ballet School for the next two years.. At the age of 15, Jenny was offered a full scholarship to the School of American Ballet in NYC. She was invited to join the NYC Ballet a year later at the age of 16. Today, Jenny is a highly praised Principal Dancer with the company.

Place Holder Amanda Miller began her training with Ms. Shields at the age of 8 and continued her daily classes at the school until her family moved to Connecticut at the age of 15. She spent the next two years training at the Hartford Ballet before being invited to join the Pennsylvania Ballet Company at the age of 17. She remained with the company for the next ten years. Later, Amanda and former Pennsylvania Ballet Principal Dancer Christine Cox formed the Phrenic New Ballet in Philadelphia which has received outstanding reviews and was invited to perform at Jacob's Pillow in 2004. Today, Amanda and her husband Toby Rothleim direct the Miro Dance Theatre in Philadelphia.

Place Holder Sean Armstrong began his training with Ms. Shields at the age of nine. He attended daily classes for the next five years. A dedicated student from the onset, Ms. Shields encouraged him to attend the North Carolina School of the Arts year-round program for his freshman year in highschool in order to get more mens work. At the end of his second year, Sean was offered a full scholarship to the Houston Ballet Academy from which he recently graduated. Sean has been invited to join the Carolina Ballet, under the direction of Robert Weiss in Raleigh-Durham, NC, and join the ranks of professional dancers.

Place Holder Grace Reeves began her training with Ms. Shields at the age of 7. By the time she was nine, Grace was attending daily classes. In 2004, at the age of 15, Grace attended the North Carolina School of the Arts year-round program. She was offered a full scholarship to attend the Pennsylvania Ballet's Summer Intensive School and was placed in the highest level during the summer of 2005. With her beautiful personality and outstanding musicality, we are expecting great things for her future. She attended the Houston Ballet Academy in 2006 during the Summer of 2007.

Place Holder Georgia Anderson, 14, began her studies with Ms. Shields at the age of 8 and has attended daily class for the past six years. She was accepted into the Orlando Ballet School on a partial scholarship for their 2005 Summer Intensive Program and attends the South Carolina Governor's School of the Arts.

Place Holder Caroline Roberts, 15, began her classical ballet training four years ago and has accuired an excellent technique in a very short period of time. She was accepted to the North Carolina School of the Arts for the Summer Intensive Program. She attended the Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, FL during the summer of 2006 and will attend the Rock School, official school of the Pennsylvania Ballet this summer.
